The name is a bastardisation of Arabic al-Ḏi’bān, 'the two wolves'. It is usually for the asterism of Aldhibah (ζ Dra) & Athebyne (η Dra), but was misapplied by some author at some point to the asterism composed of ψ1 & ψ2 Dra.
